The Houston Astros have won the World Series, beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 in Game 7. The Astros will bring the Commissioner’s Trophy to Houston for the first time in team history. The timing couldn’t be better as Houston faced tragedy this year after being hit by Hurricane Harvey, which caused major floods, property damage, and worse. Winning the World Series will help comfort a city still in recovery.
Only two months after the tragedy of Hurricane Harvey the Astros win the World Series! Couldn’t have been scripted any better. Congrats Houston!

On the other side of this storybook ending are the Dodgers. The team who won a league’s best 104 games in the regular season could not find a way to get back into Game 7. Dodgers’ fans will be mourning this loss for some time, but they’ll likely get no pity from Arizona residents. Call them petty, but Diamondbacks fans are still holding grudges about the pool incident.
Sorry, not sorry Dodger fans. Remember when your players celebrated in dbacks pool? Karma Is a bummer.#WorldSeriesGame7

Dodgers can go swim in their pool full of tears.

So if you are a Dodgers fan living in Arizona, feeling down about the loss, and have to go to work, school, or anywhere around Dbacks tomorrow, be prepared for a bit of teasing. I am certain there will be many jokes coming your way beginning with, “Remember when…”
