I didn’t even take a date to prom, well I had one. I sort of sold her ticket, (yes I have dirtbag tendencies) but truth be told I was broke and couldn’t afford to do anything outside the entry fee so I had to improvise. Thanks to BMW ENTERTAINMENT & the “IF ONLY FOR ONE NIGHT ADULT PROM” I have another shot at greatness this weekend Saturday November 11th, 2017 at the Squaw Peak Hotel. The words “Adult” and “Prom” sound much better together than they do apart, other than ditching my prom date for temporary monetary compensation, I DID PROM ALL WRONG! The first issue was the setting. I love my old high school, don’t get me wrong, but who chose the top floor of the tallest skyscraper in Phoenix with a swaying floor? “Scared” would be an understatement, but in the middle of the anxiety of being a million feet in the air, I came to a realization that I WAS BORED. Something was missing, well, a few things: an actual DJ, cocktails (no I didn’t drink back then, but I know for sure it was missing), and a red carpet, maybe since we’re dressed liked movie stars! I know where you can find all of this, the “ADULT PROM” no children can be found here, only the grown and sexy.
Picture, if you will, seeing the entire cities’ nightlife population all congregated in a night of class, elegance and high fashion – this is the epitome of the event. Red carpets, beautiful host, and a multitude of the cities’ finest gather to “Relive, Re-do, or go to prom for the first time” as stated by BMW ENTERTAINMENT CEO Rod Smith who began the successful event two years prior with his partner Terrance “Fab” Hudson. “This is Arizona’s number one formal event, begun in Phoenix, AZ now [in] 10 different cities” he also stated. This weekend, November 11th, 2017 will be one to remember so please, don’t forget. If you didn’t have plans now you do. Wait, I still need a date…
