The Arizona Music Scene deserves recognition: What should we do?

There is a lot of talent in the state of Arizona. From artists like Tommy Will, Vee Tha Rula, Marquel Deljuan, JusXJustice, Delly Everyday, and Dann G, or groups like 20 Pounds, Vibe Lane, Prime Society, and Swag Kingz, the Arizona music scene covers a wide variety of styles. This is not an exclusive list (Arizona definitely has a longer list of talent).

With so much talent here in the state, it seems that we wait year after year for Arizona to gain the recognition it deserves. Artists will make songs, the artist’s fans, friends, and family will listen and make comments and give the artist props, and then it seems that’s the end of it until the next song. Repeat cycle. Support between artist exists, but it’s not as strong as it needs to be.

The rest of the country won’t rock with us if we don’t rock with us! Arizona artists should take the time out to share & like the work of other artists if they like their work. The Arizona music scene should have a Twitter presence. Many people sharing, liking, retweeting, and commenting about a song, project, or performance on Twitter will help it spread or trend. The Arizona music scene would have a stronger online presence, which leads to more potential for each artists to receive recognition outside of the state.

It doesn’t cost anything, but has a tremendous upside. We all know that AZ is way too active. Now it’s time to show everyone else. What do you think?
