“Papa Told Me” is a new song and video released by 4N The Human. The song is based in hip hop, but has its own unique sound. Starting with the beat, it reminds a bit of a scary movie tune, but one you can nod your head to. There also seems to be a bit, just a bit, of an Eminem-type sound to it.
Now, if you know me, or know the type of music I usually post or review, you’d notice this track is much different. But that’s what makes this song stick out to me. In fact, I’ve already added it to my Stationhead rotation. This song gives you something you don’t hear in other songs. My quick research of the artist revealed that 4N The Human has an Egyptian background, so I’m assuming the language spoken in the chorus is Arabic, but I may be wrong. Nonetheless, I believe the inclusion of the foreign language in the song is genius. As a listener, I hear it and become curious and more intrigued. “What language is that? What is he saying? That’s cool!” Lucky for me, the words are translated and captioned in the video.
