We have a new single from Phoenix’s own, Jaywop, titled Bill Bellamy. This is the third single he’s released this year after Big Bad and Top 5 Freestyle. His last release gained attention after features on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds: Hip-Hop” playlist, AllHipHop.com, and GRUNGECAKE. However, Jaywop has long been on our radar because of his previous work such as The Cool Out EP released in 2018.
If you aren’t familiar with Bill Bellamy, he’s an American actor that has starred or appeared in multiple movies including How To Be A Player and Love Jones, and has also performed stand-up on Def Comedy Jam. If you’ve seen him in those two movies, Jaywop’s reference regarding his confidence makes sense because this guy didn’t believe in rejection.
