Sometimes, you just need a song that will create a laid back type of atmosphere. I know that we usually post upbeat hits, but I could not move past this submission from Tropic titled Down, a slow and seductive R&B jam from a duo from New York.
Phuse, an electronic producer and DJ, and Jo-B Sebastian, R&B singer/songwriter, are the two who make up the duo, Tropic. Together, they have produced a song that brings back the vibes from the late 90s and early 2000s. This is my first listen to music from the duo, but I am pretty confident this will not be the last. This song fits right into my, uh, special playlist. If you have one, I’m sure you’d agree this song is more than qualified. If this is not used as a mood starter, it must be placed strategically for play in the middle of the session.
