The first thing I thought of when listening to one of the latest releases from Digg$ featuring Bakez titled Enough was that I had just come across a new track from Juelz Santana or Dipset. Do you hear it too or are my ears playing tricks on me? Either way, the sound put forward in this track is super clean. An old school sound with a first verse filled with clever and fire lines.
“Yo, watch yo mouth. You know you ain’t quick enough. You better think before you get minked. They gon’ have to pick you up. I can back it up. I’ve already did enough…”
Now if I’m being honest, I think the song is front heavy. The first verse is ahead of the second verse by a mile. There’s two different types of energy being given between the two artists. This is not to say the second verse is terrible. But I do believe because of the disparity, the song seems to decline as it goes on. But that hasn’t kept me from playing it over and over again, more than 15 or so times in the last 24 hours at least.
