New Music Friday hasn’t ended yet! Well, in my time zone at least. So, that means we still have time to share new music we’ve discovered from Kenyan R&B artist, Iddi Singer.
Queen, one of the latest songs by Singer, was a part of his latest EP, Rootsman, released on April 15, 2022. Although it has been described as Kenyan/Swahili R&B, the sound from this song gives off reggae vibes heard from the island of Jamaica. I am aware that there may be historical connections which may explain the similarities, but I must confess I haven’t done my homework on that just yet. Right now, I just know the song has a dope sound and is one you should consider as a new addition to your musical rotation. Check it out and let us know what you think.
