The Breakfast Club, a flagship show on Power 105.1 in New York, may be over in its original form if the interpretations flooding social media (*Twitter*) are true. Late Tuesday afternoon, one of the cohosts, Angela Yee tweeted, “The breakfast club as you know it is officially over.”
Based on the manner and forum chosen to issue the message, i believed this to mean Angela Yee would be leaving the show. After checking Twitter this morning, it appears that I was right. But the obvious interpretation didn’t stop social media from running wild with their own hypocritical and celebrating what they thought was the end of the radio show and segment.
Many on Twitter contributed to what I’d call a social media memorial service. Each participant posted one of their favorite moments from the show over the years. This included some of the most viral memories like the interviews with Monique, Birdman, and Soulja Boy. Take a look at some of the most memorial interviews posted and let us know of others you’d add.
