Deshaun Watson Punished: Is 11 Games, $5 Million Enough?

Did the NFL do enough with the 11 game suspension, $5 million fine it just recently announced? There’s people on both sides of the fence. Many say it was not enough being that Watson was facing allegations of sexual misconduct from more than 20 women. Others have stated the suspension and fine are excessive in the absence of a criminal conviction or negative judgment in the civil cases filed. Either way, the NFL has this power, given to it by the CBA, which allows it to make decisions like this against players for personal conduct. Ironically, Watson will be able to return to action against his former team, the Houston Texans.

Deshaun Watson was not indicted by a Grand Jury twice.

Historically a Grand Jury will indict 99.9% of the time

The man has not been charged with a crime.

Settling a civil case is in no way admitting any guilt, it's business
