When the Arizona music scene is mentioned, people automatically think of the Phoenix Metropolitan area and nothing else. This is a bit expected with Phoenix being the capital of the state. However, those who only focus on music artists making moves in the Phoenix area overlook, and deprive themselves of, the talent in other areas. Some of the artists that are often overlooked are those in the Tucson area. From my own experience, I believe this is a HUGE mistake.
You need to listen to Tommy Will. Like, RIGHT NOW! With that said, what’s good Bird City!? It’s the big homie, Bo, back again with another rising Arizona talent. This week’s featured artist, Tommy Will, is one of the best wordsmiths in the state, and his latest track “Emergency Calls Only” is a somber and pointed discourse on our addiction to cell phones.
There is a lot of talent in the state of Arizona. From artists like Tommy Will, Vee Tha Rula, Marquel Deljuan, JusXJustice, Delly Everyday, and Dann G, or groups like 20 Pounds, Vibe Lane, Prime Society, and Swag Kingz, the Arizona music scene covers a wide variety of styles. This is not an exclusive list (Arizona definitely has a longer list of talent).
